According to NISO, the restoration process has been completed, and the national grid has returned to normal operation.

The organisation also dismissed unverified reports circulating in the media, clarifying that the incident affected only a section of the grid rather than the entire network.

NISO urged members of the public to disregard misleading information and rely on its official communication channels for accurate and verified updates on the state of the national grid.

The operator reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining grid stability, ensuring the reliable operation of Nigeria’s electricity transmission system, and providing timely and accurate information to the public.
