Nollywood faith-based film Agbara Nla: The Return has generated ₦408.3 million at the Nigerian box office, making it the second-highest-grossing Nollywood film released in 2026, behind Blessing Uzzi’s Call of My Life.
Nile Entertainment announced the achievement in an Instagram post on Monday, describing the movie as the “No. 1 title for four consecutive weekends.”
In a promotional flyer accompanying the announcement, the distributor described the film as the highest-grossing movie ever released in October and the highest-grossing faith-based film of all time.
The flyer also confirmed its position as the second-highest-grossing Nollywood title of 2026, with total box-office earnings of ₦408.3 million.
In its caption, Nile Entertainment celebrated the milestone, writing, “₦408.3 MILLION AND STILL MAKING HISTORY!”
The distributor added, “Thank you Nigeria, this is YOUR victory!”
The company further noted that the film’s successful cinema run was continuing, with screenings still available in cinemas nationwide.
Directed by Damilola Mike-Bamiloye, Agbara Nla: The Return is a remake of the 33-year-old Christian classic produced by Mount Zion.
The latest earnings represent an increase of ₦53.8 million from the previously reported ₦354.5 million the film had grossed after its release in Nigerian cinemas on October 1.
Meanwhile, Call of My Life, which has earned more than ₦900 million at the box office, remains the highest-grossing Nollywood film among titles released in 2026.
Beyond its Nigerian performance, Agbara Nla: The Return recorded an opening-weekend gross of $120,660 in selected cinemas in the United Kingdom and Canada.
The film was co-produced by Mount Zion Film Productions, Sozo Films and Circuits, while its international distribution in Europe was handled in partnership with IFEC.
Nile Entertainment General Manager, Nowe Segun-Ojo, had previously attributed the company’s performance to its distribution strategy since it commenced operations in August 2024.
