NOLLYWOOD MOURNS AS VETERAN YORUBA ACTOR FESOGBOYE OYEWOLE DIES

The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of veteran Yoruba actor, Fesogboye Oyewole.
News of his passing first circulated on social media after fellow actor, Mr Latin, announced it in a Facebook post, writing: “GOOD NIGHT UNCLE FESO.”
The family of the late actor later confirmed his death in an official statement, disclosing that he passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026.
Although the cause of death was not made public, the family expressed gratitude to God for his life and legacy, describing him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
“With complete submission to the will of Allah (SWT), we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother and uncle, Comrade Baniyamin Fesogboye Oyewole, who returned to his Creator on Friday, 29th May, 2026,” the statement read.
The family prayed for forgiveness for his shortcomings and asked that God grant him eternal rest
