POCO LEE’S UK PLEA HEARING SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY, TRIAL SET FOR MARCH 2027

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee, whose real name is Iwe Pascal, is expected to appear before a United Kingdom court for a plea hearing on February 8, 2027, with his trial scheduled to commence on March 8, 2027.
The development was disclosed by Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby, who said he attended court proceedings on Tuesday in connection with the case involving the Nigerian entertainer.
Kuti, who has been providing updates on the case, said the court had now fixed dates for the next stages of the proceedings.
“I was in court today, as I mentioned in my last tweet, regarding the case involving one of our Nigerian brothers, Poco Lee,” Kuti stated.
According to him, Poco Lee’s plea hearing has been scheduled for February 8, 2027, while the trial is expected to begin exactly one month later on March 8.
The latest development follows an earlier update by Kuti in August, when he disclosed that Poco Lee was being held on remand in a UK prison and was expected to appear in court in September for a plea hearing.
The case has since progressed, with the court setting fresh dates for the plea hearing and subsequent trial.
Kuti urged members of the public to allow the judicial process to take its course and refrain from reaching conclusions based on allegations or unverified information circulating about the case.
He stressed the importance of the presumption of innocence, noting that Poco Lee should be regarded as innocent unless and until a court determines otherwise.
“Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and that principle must be respected throughout the entire process,” Kuti said.
Poco Lee is widely recognised in Nigeria’s entertainment industry for his energetic dance performances and has collaborated with several prominent Nigerian musicians and entertainers. He has also gained international recognition through his dance videos, performances and appearances alongside artistes in the Afrobeats scene.
The entertainer’s case in the UK is expected to attract further attention as the February 8 plea hearing approaches, followed by the scheduled trial on March 8, 2027.
