Russian President Vladimir Putin has been invited to join a proposed “Board of Peace” initiated by United States President Donald Trump to oversee governance and reconstruction efforts in postwar Gaza, the Kremlin has said.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov disclosed the development on Monday, confirming that Putin received an invitation from Washington to participate in the initiative.

“President Putin also received an invitation to join this Board of Peace,” Peskov told journalists, including AFP.

He added that Russia was currently seeking clarification from the United States on the scope, structure and operational details of the proposed body.

According to Peskov, Moscow is working to “clarify all the nuances” surrounding the offer as diplomatic engagements continue.
