SEVERAL KILLED, MANY ABDUCTED IN SOKOTO COMMUNITY ATTACK BY BELLO TURJI’S BANDITS

Bandits loyal to notorious kingpin Bello Turji attacked Lugu village in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State on Wednesday.
The attackers reportedly killed and injured several residents and abducted at least 15 people, including men and women.
The incident was reported on Thursday by Bakatsine, a conflict and crisis journalist covering insecurity in Nigeria’s northwest, via a post on X.
The attack on Lugu comes a day after Turji’s gang raided Gajit village, injuring residents and abducting at least 20 people.

In his post, Bakatsine wrote:
“ALERT: Last night, bandits loyal to the notorious leader Bello Turji attacked Lugu village in Isa LGA of Sokoto State, killing and injuring several residents and abducting at least 15 people, including men and women.
“For how long will Turji and his men continue to destabilize communities across Sokoto East District?
“What concrete steps are being taken by security agencies to stop these repeated attacks?”
