Vice President Kashim Shettima has expressed how much he missed the “warmth, wit and good-natured banter” of his Fullo cousins after reuniting with them in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Shettima disclosed this in a post on his official Facebook page on Friday, saying he met the men at the Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital in the state capital.
The Vice President described the men as his “Fullo cousins”, noting that they are responsible for the safety and security of the teaching hospital.

In the post, Shettima wrote, “I reunited with my Fullo cousins, who are entrusted with the safety and security of Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital, in Maiduguri today.”
He added, “How I’ve missed their warmth, wit and good-natured banter!”
The meeting came during Shettima’s visit to Borno State, where he participated in the commissioning of a 400-bed teaching hospital at the state-owned Kashim Ibrahim University and the Yerwa Practice Mega School in Maiduguri.
At the commissioning ceremony, the Vice President praised the Borno State Government for completing the projects, describing them as investments that would benefit future generations.
He also said the hospital and schools demonstrated the state’s recovery after more than a decade of insurgency.
“The ultra-modern Kashim Ibrahim Teaching Hospital and the schools in Maiduguri and across the state are evidence that Borno is recovering,” Shettima said.
