Members of the South West leadership of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria held a peaceful protest in Lagos State to condemn the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, resulting from strikes by the United States and Israel.
The demonstration, which took place early Monday, follows similar protests in Kano State on Sunday.
In Lagos, protesters marched through the Maryland area, carrying placards and banners denouncing what they called an “invasion” of Iran and the targeted killing of the long-serving Iranian leader.
Participants chanted slogans expressing solidarity with Iran and strong condemnation of the actions of the U.S. and Israel.

Reports from Leadership indicate that the demonstration remained peaceful and well-organized, with no immediate signs of violence, major disruptions, or expansion to other areas.
Several leaders of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria told journalists that they want the Nigerian government to oppose the presence of U.S. troops in the country.
