TINUBU’S DELEGATION ARRIVES OGBOMOSO OVER ABDUCTION OF PUPILS, TEACHERS IN OYO

A high-powered Federal Government delegation dispatched by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, following the recent abduction of pupils and teachers from three schools in Esiele and Yawota communities, Oriire Local Government Area.
The delegation includes the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu; the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa; the Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe; and the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare.
The delegation, led by the National Security Adviser, is expected to assess the security situation on the ground, engage with local authorities and affected families, and strengthen ongoing efforts aimed at securing the safe release of the victims.
The visit comes in response to the attack by armed men on three schools in the affected communities, during which about 46 pupils and teachers were reportedly abducted, sparking widespread concern and condemnation.
Meanwhile, security agencies have intensified rescue operations as authorities work to ensure the abductees are freed and to restore confidence among residents of the affected communities.
