TRUMP SPARKS OUTRAGE AFTER CALLING FEMALE JOURNALIST STUPID

HOTJIST NEWS
US President Donald Trump on Thursday verbally attacked a female reporter, calling her “stupid” as he dismissed her questions the latest in a series of derogatory remarks he has directed at women journalists.
“Are you stupid? Are you a stupid person?” Trump snapped, interrupting the reporter while responding to inquiries at his Florida estate about the vetting process for Afghans entering the United
Two National Guard soldiers were shot near the White House on Wednesday, reportedly by an Afghan national who was brought into the United States after the 2021 withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.
The reporter had asked Trump why he continued to blame his predecessor, Joe Biden, despite some officials from Trump’s own administration affirming that Afghans resettled in the United States had undergone thorough vetting.
“Because they let them in,” Trump retorted, holding up a photo of a crowded U.S. military plane carrying evacuees fleeing Afghanistan after the Taliban returned to power.
He continued, saying they arrived “along with thousands of other people who shouldn’t be here,” before adding, “and you’re asking these questions because you’re a stupid person.”
Although insults and blunt rhetoric have long been hallmarks of Trump’s political style, he has repeatedly directed particularly harsh comments at female journalists.
On Wednesday, he lashed out at a New York Times article highlighting his age and signs of fatigue, disparaging the woman who wrote it as “ugly.”
Earlier in the month, he referred to one female reporter as “piggy” and another as “a terrible person.”
