UEFA has given FIFA president Gianni Infantino until November 2 to release key documents concerning the organisation’s governance and decision-making processes, warning that several important questions remain unanswered.

According to the BBC, UEFA general secretary Theodore Theodoridis communicated the deadline in a letter to FIFA, stating that the global football governing body had failed to address “a number of fundamental questions”.

The letter further stated that any refusal to disclose requested information or documents must be individually justified, with clear explanations of the specific reasons for withholding them.

The demand follows Thursday’s FIFA Council meeting, where Infantino apologised over his World Cup sell-off plan but did not release documents relating to the proposal.

UEFA also submitted an eight-page document to FIFA outlining concerns over several issues, including the FIFA Forward Enterprise private investment proposal, the FIFA Peace Prize and the suspension of a ban involving United States forward Folarin Balogun.

FIFA has been contacted for comment on the matter.

Infantino has served as FIFA president since 2016 and is seeking a third term in office.
