Blessing CEO is back in the spotlight, this time after social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), made fresh claims about her personal life and ongoing legal troubles.

VDM alleged that Blessing CEO genuinely lost her son, Bryan, but claimed that her involvement in fraudulent activities was linked to substance abuse allegedly introduced by IVD. He further alleged that she sold off her properties to sustain the habit before eventually becoming involved in a controversial crowdfunding campaign.

According to VDM, the pair allegedly devised a plan involving a fake Stage 4 cancer diagnosis to raise money through crowdfunding, with Blessing CEO reportedly targeting ₦13 million.

He claimed that after the cancer report was challenged and its source was traced, Blessing CEO refunded people who had donated to the campaign.

The latest controversy followed reports last week that Blessing CEO’s second son, Bryan, had died while she remained in Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

The report was later confirmed by Amira Agiye of the Isaamira Love Foundation. However, the circumstances surrounding the announcement led some Nigerians to question whether the development was genuine, prompting VDM to clarify the situation.

Amira also appealed to the public to assist in securing Blessing CEO’s release from Kirikiri.

In July, Blessing CEO was reportedly granted bail of ₦20 million with two sureties in like sum in connection with a ₦69.15 million alleged property fraud case. She was also said to require an additional ₦36 million to settle her prosecutors.

She is simultaneously facing a separate case brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the alleged ₦13 million cancer-related fraud. She is facing six counts in the case and has pleaded not guilty.

Her inability to meet the bail conditions has reportedly kept her in Kirikiri for about two months.

Amid the situation, VDM has offered to assist in securing her release. He said a prophetess had already paid money towards her release, but added that the multiple legal cases against Blessing CEO had complicated efforts to secure her bail.

However, VDM’s approach has drawn criticism from some Nigerians, who argued that his public comments were unnecessarily humiliating and questioned whether exposing Blessing CEO’s alleged personal struggles was an appropriate way to offer assistance.
