VERYDARKMAN QUESTIONS ADURA’S INTERVIEW, CHALLENGES CLAIMS BY MOHBAD’S BROTHER
By: Muftau Fatimo
Social media activist Vincent Otse Martins, widely known as Verydarkman, has responded to a recent interview granted by Adura Aloba, the brother of the late singer Mohbad.
During the interview, Adura shared troubling accounts of the day Mohbad passed away, describing how he heard screams from the singer’s room and later discovered him lying on the floor.
In reaction, Verydarkman raised a series of critical questions directed at Adura, notably asking why no urgent medical assistance was sought as Mohbad’s condition deteriorated.
The social media activist criticized the decision to wait for a nurse from Cotonou, arguing that calling emergency services would have been a more appropriate and effective response.
He also raised concerns about the significant amount of blood reportedly found on Mohbad’s clothing and bedding, citing statements made by the late singer’s father and aunt.
Verydarkman claimed he contacted the journalist who interviewed Adura and was informed that Adura was not open to meeting with him.
In response, he urged his followers to encourage Adura to reconsider, stressing that all his previous interviews were conducted with the full consent of those involved.
To facilitate the meeting, he offered to pay for Adura’s flight and provide accommodation in reputable hotels. He also expressed willingness to travel to Lagos if that would be more convenient for Adura.
Reiterating his stance, Verydarkman denied ever receiving payment to support the “Justice for Mohbad” movement, emphasizing that his only motivation is to ensure justice is served and that Nigerians receive clear answers about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
He said, in part:
“I’m surprised Mohbad’s brother gave an interview that I wasn’t part of especially since I was the one who revived the Justice for Mohbad campaign after everyone moved on.
As Mohbad’s brother, what actions did you take when you realized your brother the family’s breadwinner was suicidal, and you were living under the same roof with him?”
