Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Saturday visited the rescued pupils and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area who are receiving medical treatment and care at the Military Hospital in Ibadan.
The victims were abducted by gunmen on May 15, 2026, and spent more than 50 days in captivity before being rescued.

The Federal Government announced their release on Friday, with the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirming that security agencies successfully secured the freedom of all the abducted pupils and teachers.
