ZAMFARA ATTACK: BANDITS KILL ONE, ABDUCT 10 RESIDENTS

An armed bandit attack in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State has claimed the life of one resident, led to the abduction of 10 others, and resulted in the theft of livestock.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Monday, when armed attackers invaded Gidan Yawa and Lamuntani villages through the Gulubba District, firing sporadically during the operation.

A 32-year-old man, identified as Abdullahi Sani, was fatally shot in the course of the attack.
In addition to the fatality, the assailants abducted 10 residents and made away with eight cows before fleeing the area.
Security authorities have confirmed that operations are ongoing to track the attackers and secure the release of the abducted victims.
Residents have been advised to remain alert and cooperate with security agencies by providing any information that could assist in apprehending the perpetrators.
