NIGERIA STARLET CHUKWUEZE STILL OPEN TO ARSENAL MOVE
Villarreal teenage midefielder Samuel Chukwueze has hinted that he’s still open to joining Arsenal despite his failed to the Emirates last summer.
The 19-year-old midfielder has been in an impressive form this season for the Yellow Submarines, scoring seven goals so far including a hat-trick against against UCD Murcia a fourthnight ago.
Though Chukwueze, who moved to Spain after a well publicised £1.5m move to Arsenal fell through at the last minute insists he has moved on from what transpired with the Gunners and is fully focused on doing his best to break into the senior team at Villarreal, he however hinted that he’s open to a move to north London in the near future.
“In the future if the opportunity comes Arsenal is a team I admire and would love to play for,” Chukwueze began.
“Arsenal as you well know is a very good club and it will be good for my career; since I will be able to learn many new things.”
“I like Arsenal because it is a club that gives young players the opportunity to showcase their talents and I believe I would be given the chance to play too,” he said.
A flying winger with a dazzling footwork, Chukwueze scored three goals at the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile, where Nigeria won the global cadet championship for a record fifth time.
