Iwobi Pumped Up For Europa Semi-Final Clash Vs Atletico
Arsenal’s Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi is eagerly looking forward to Thursday’s UEFA Europa League semi-final first leg clash against Atletico Madrid, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Thursday’s first leg clash against Diego Simeone’s men will be at the Emirates Stadium with the reverse fixture comes up Thursday next week at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.
The Gunners have endured a torrid campaign and the Europa League represents their only chance of winning silverware and getting back into the UEFA Champions League.
Winning the competition will also be a fitting farewell for manager Arsene Wenger who will end his 22-year stay with the club at the end of the season.
“You Know What Match It Is Tomorrow ? Lets Go Gunners ?⚪?,” Iwobi wrote on Twitter on Wednesday with a picture of him at training.
Iwobi has made six appearances for Arsenal in the competition this season and registered two assists.
