Trabzonspor Coach Thumbs-Up Onazi ‘s Workrate
Impressed by Onazi Ogenyi’s recent resurgence at the club this season, Trabzonspor manager Unal Karaman has rated the Super Eagles’ star as one of his dependable midfielders ahead of Saturday’s clash against Kasimpasa.
It would be recalled that the Super Eagles midfielder opened scoring for the his club against Galatassaray in the third minutes in a match that saw his Nigerian compatriots Anthony Nwakaeme grabbed a brace as The Burgundy Blue ran away with 4-0 win.
Onazi was also rated 8/12 for his box to box defending against Alayanspor while his performance in the club’s 1-2 home loss to Goztepe was also cheered by club fans.
Coach Karaman lauded the former Lazio midfielder for returning to top form at the right time after he experienced a blip in form last season owing to series of injuries.
“Onazi has showed that he can be relied on. He has been doing great for the team and his performance in the first five games of the season was highly appreciated by the fans.
” We just need to keep working and hope that the team get better to the joy of our fans,” coach Karamai said.
Tranbzonspor will hope to return to winning ways in a home tie against Kasimpasa on Saturday.
