PDP LEADERS’ PROTEST: BEN BRUCE TEARGASSED

Senator representing Bayelsa East senatorial district, Ben Murray-Bruce, on Friday, has been allegedly teargassed by the police during a protest at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s office in Abuja.
Murray-Bruce who had participated in a protest led by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, and ex-governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, among others,via his Twitter page, @benmurraybruce, claimed that he was teargassed and maltreated by the police.
He said, “I have just been teargassed by the@PoliceNG at @inecnigeria office. Gunshots have been fired. This was a d still is a peaceful protest (sic). How can I be treated like this in a country I have fought for and invested in? This is madness, I came with words they answered with bullets!”
However, the video shared by Murray-Bruce on his Twitter handle did not reflect his claim.
The PDP leaders were protesting the result of the Osun State governorship election, which their party lost.
