A video has emerged of an apparent engineering failure in a female hostel whereby a water system component gave way causing heavy flooding inside the students’ hostels below.

Just a couple of weeks ago, a building still under construction also collapsed on the campus of the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

It is apparent that the officials in charge of engineering facilities in the University of Lagos are not equal to the task of providing efficient technical support that such a big institution deserves.
