OSIMHEN SHOULD REMAIN AT NAPOLI – FORMER SUPER EAGLES STAR OBODO
Christian Obodo, a former Nigerian midfielder, has advided Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen to stay at the club and develop further despite interest from big European teams this summer.
Following his strong performances for the Partenopei, Osimhen has been the subject of transfer rumours this summer, with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Arsenal all reportedly showing interest in the 23-year-old striker.
Obodo believes Napoli is the right club for the former Lille striker to thrive. “I’ve been aware of Osimhen’s potential even before he joined Napoli,” Obodo told 1 Station Radio.
“I think Napoli is the ideal place for a player like Victor in addition to the adequacy of the coach.
“(Luciano) Spalletti’s work is relevant to his growth and that has allowed him to grow a lot both at Napoli and with the national team.
“I have no doubt about the impact that the former Lille striker would have on Napoli.”
