Lagos State Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, has called on the management team of his office to be a catalyst for positive change and effective service delivery.
Ayinde made the call at the opening ceremony of the Directors’ Retreat organized by the Office of the Chief of Staff in Ikeja, emphasising that the retreat will offer participants the opportunity to unlock new insights and perspectives that will enrich their leadership capacities, especially in a world that is constantly evolving.
He noted that the theme of the retreat, “Dimensional Leadership Development,” speaks to the fundamental attributes and skills leaders must possess to successfully direct the affairs of their respective departments and units as well as manage their subordinates.
According to him, “As leaders, you must embrace creativity, adaptability, and a forward-thinking mindset, in addition to constant mentoring of your subordinates, accommodating, imparting knowledge, and showing empathy towards reproducing your diligence and commitment in them”.
The Chief of Staff also appreciated the management team for their key roles in the success attained by the Office, imploring them to sustain the unique feat that has earned the Office of the Chief of Staff a good reputation and accolades.
Earlier in her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Chief of Staff, Mrs. Adenike Ganiyat Akanbi enjoined participants to rededicate themselves to better serve the residents and contribute their quota to the development of Lagos State.
