BREAKING: N84BN FRAUD: YAHAYA BELLO’S ABSENCE STALLS ARRAIGNMENT
The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, was absent at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), planned to charge the former governor with a money laundering offense of N84 billion.
Bello was not present in court for his arraignment, according to EFCC attorney Kemi Phinro, because he was being shielded by someone with immunity.
Justice Emeka Nwite subsequently adjourned the suit to to April 23rd.
