JUST IN: COURT DISMISSES EFCC’S SUIT AGAINST OKOROCHA
A Federal Capital Territory High Court has dismissed the case against former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC’s charges of fraud and abuse of office were dismissed by the court as an abuse of the judicial process.
The sitting judge, Justice Yusuf Halilu, based his decision on the fact that the former governor of Imo State had faced a similar charge from the EFCC at the Federal high court, whose case had been ruled in the former governor’s favour in December last year.
