SENIOR CIVIL SERVANTS MOBILIZE FOR NATIONWIDE STRIKE
Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, ASCSN, has on Tuesday directed all it’s State branches to commence mobilization of members ahead of the October 3 strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC), and the Trade Union Congress, TUC.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Secretary – General of the association, Joshua Apebo, requesting all state secretaries to mobilize all teeming members all the Branches and Chapters if Federal Govenrment fails to meet the demands of the organised labour.
ASCSN is an affiliate of the TUC.
Recall that both NLC and TUC declared an indefinite strike from October 3 following a joint press briefing held by both leadership of the union in Abuja, on Tuesday.
This follows a failed attempt by the federal government to meet the demands of the organized labour who are protesting the high cost of living following the removal of the fuel subsidy.
The unions also asked their state chapters to mobilize for protests across the country.
