IKEJA BUSINESSMAN GBENGA OBAMA SHOT, ROBBED OF N40M GOLD IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

Armed robbers on Monday dispossessed an Ikeja big boy and businessman, identified as Gbenga Obama, of jewellery valued at about ₦40 million.

The incident occurred at Allen Avenue, Ikeja, when the victim and some friends were standing outside his office.

According to CCTV footage, a man wearing a black face cap, long-sleeved shirt, and black jeans approached the group, fired gunshots at Obama three times, and demanded valuables.

The suspect carted away gold chains and bracelets before fleeing on a waiting motorcycle.

The businessman, who sustained injuries from the gunshots, is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

Police authorities have been alerted, and investigations are ongoing to track down the suspect.
