Nollywood actress Shine Rosman has said many actors in the Nigerian movie industry are not as wealthy as people assume.
Speaking during a recent podcast hosted by Baaj Adebule, Rosman noted that one of the biggest misconceptions about Nollywood stars is that they are financially comfortable.
She explained that contrary to public perception, many actors in the industry are facing financial struggles.
She noted that the movie stars who are financially buoyant make most of their money from other ventures.
Rosman said, “The most overrated misconception about Nollywood stars is that we have money. I don’t know why people assume we have money. Some of us do have money, but from other ventures. But many of us are struggling financially.”
