Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed confidence that a joint tour with fellow singer Wizkid would sell out venues across the world, saying he would demand $500,000 for each performance.

Davido made this known during an appearance on the IONWANNATALK show, where he discussed the possibility of recording music and embarking on a joint tour with Wizkid.

However, the singer expressed uncertainty about whether a collaborative song between them would become a major hit, citing the previous collaboration between D’banj and 2Baba as an example.

“If Wizkid and I do a song together, I don’t know if it will pop because when D’banj and 2Baba did a record together, it didn’t really pop,” he said.

He was, however, more optimistic about the prospects of a joint tour, insisting that their combined fan bases would guarantee sold-out venues.

“If we tour together, I’ll ask for $500,000 per show because I know every venue will sell out,” Davido stated.

The singer further disclosed that he and Wizkid had not recorded a song together in about 10 years, clarifying that their lack of collaboration was not due to an inability to work together.

According to him, they had not been in the same mental space, while opinions remain divided over whether their rivalry has contributed to their success or whether a collaboration would further boost their careers.

Davido also spoke about moving past disagreements, noting that it takes maturity to acknowledge when one’s feelings or position on an issue have changed.

“I felt that way at some point but not anymore, and it takes a great man to do that,” he added.
