Manchester United legend Gary Neville has suggested Arsenal are unlikely to let their Premier League title chance slip away.

Following their 1-0 win over Burnley, the Gunners are now close to securing their first league title in 22 years.

Mikel Arteta’s side have opened up a five-point lead over Manchester City, who face Bournemouth on Wednesday.

City will know that anything less than a win at the Vitality Stadium would hand Arsenal the championship.

Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast, Neville said that if Arteta wins the title, he would be considered a “champion manager”.

He added: “If Mikel Arteta becomes a champion manager, it’s a game changer.

“The fact that they can go the distance and they can beat a Guardiola Manchester City team to a title, that is no mean feat.

“They’re on the brink now, and I can’t see how they’re going to waste this opportunity.”
