DESMOND ELLIOT RETURNS TO NOLLYWOOD FOLLOWING APC PRIMARY LOSS

The lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, has reportedly made a return to Nollywood after losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.
The development followed the emergence of photos showing the actor-turned-politician on a movie set alongside fellow Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta.
The pictures, which circulated on social media, captured Elliot and Chatta together during a film production, appearing to be engaged in a conversation while on set.
Several social media users said they were eager to see Elliot back on screen after years of active politics as a Lagos State lawmaker.
The media recalls that the Nollywood veteran-turned-politician recently failed in his bid to secure the APC ticket for Surulere Constituency I ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The three-term lawmaker lost the party’s primary election to Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, who polled an overwhelming majority of votes in the contest.
