Ekong wins penalty in Serie A debut for Udinese
William Ekong made his Serie A debut tonight in a 2-2 draw at Parma,
just as Adeleke Akinyemi also made his bow for struggling IK Start in
Norway.
Super Eagles defender Ekong, who cost more than 3 million Euros from
Turkish club Bursaspor, played the entire 90 minutes and he was
brought down for a penalty that his new club Udinese converted.
The penalty was put away in the 65th minute as Udinese fought back
from two goals down to get a result at Parma.
In Norway, Akinyemi played for 84 minutes when they held hosts
Stromsgodset to a vital 1-1 draw.
Akinyemi was snapped up by IK Start after his heroics at Latvian club
FK Ventspils in the UEFA Europa League, where he banged seven goals.
