APC RECEIVES OVER 10,000 ADC, PDP DEFECTORS IN KEBBI

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has expanded its ranks with the defection of more than 10,000 members from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including several local government party chairmen and key political stakeholders.
The defectors were officially received on Tuesday at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi by Governor Nasir Idris, who assured them of equal opportunities and seamless integration into the ruling party.
Addressing the gathering, the governor described the APC as an inclusive platform and urged the new members to work closely with existing party leaders to strengthen the party ahead of future elections.

He also appealed to APC leaders across the state to welcome the defectors and ensure they are fully involved in party activities.
Speaking on behalf of supporters of ADC stalwart Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, Bello Doya said the group joined the APC in support of the developmental initiatives of the Idris administration, which he praised as transparent and people-focused.
In a separate development, the Chairman of the PDP Local Government Chairmen’s Association in Kebbi State defected to the APC along with several other party officials.
Speaking for the PDP defectors, the Chairman of Bunza Local Government Area, Bello Manti, attributed their decision to Governor Idris’ performance in office and his inclusive approach to governance.
Notable among the defectors were PDP chairmen from Dandi, Koko/Besse, Arewa, Zuru, Ngaski, Yauri, Shanga, Danko-Wasagu, Sakaba and Aliero local government areas.
