BBNAIJA SEASON 11: MALE HOUSEMATES WIN FIRST THURSDAY WAGER DEBATE

The male housemates in the ongoing Big Brother Naija Season 11 have claimed victory in the first Thursday wager task of the season after defeating their female counterparts in a debate competition.
The task, held on Thursday, featured the classic “Nature versus Nurture” debate, with both teams presenting opposing arguments on what primarily shapes human behaviour and development.
The female housemates argued in favour of nurture, maintaining that a person’s character, behaviour and achievements are largely influenced by upbringing, life experiences and environmental factors.
The male housemates, however, defended the nature perspective, contending that inherited traits and genetics play the dominant role in shaping individuals.
After evaluating the presentations, Big Brother declared the male housemates winners of the debate.
Announcing the result, Big Brother said, “Housemates, the winners of tonight’s wager are the gentlemen.”
The victory marks the first Thursday wager triumph for the male team since the introduction of the new competition format.
The result comes days after Big Brother unveiled a major twist for Season 11 by splitting the contestants into male and female teams for selected tasks and competitions.
Introducing the format on Sunday, Big Brother announced that key challenges, including wager tasks, arena games and other competitions, would be contested along gender lines.
Under the arrangement, both teams are required to work collectively to earn victories, rewards and other advantages within the house.
The new format is expected to reshape relationships and gameplay as housemates navigate team loyalty, individual strategies, emerging alliances and growing rivalries throughout the season.
