BREAKING: FAILED EXECUTION OF TENNESSEE DEATH ROW INMATE CHRISTA PIKE REVEALS DISTURBING DETAILS

New details have emerged following the failed execution of Christa Pike, a 50-year-old Tennessee death row inmate who has spent nearly three decades awaiting execution for the 1995 murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer.
Pike’s execution attempt was halted after prison officials were unable to complete the process, with witnesses reporting that she remained alive and breathing after receiving the lethal drugs.
At a news conference following the incident, media witnesses described what they observed and heard inside the execution chamber.
One witness, who said they had previously witnessed five executions in Tennessee, said the events surrounding Pike’s execution were unlike anything they had seen before.
“Nothing about today was normal, typical at all,” the witness said.
During the procedure, Pike reportedly told her spiritual adviser, “The vein in my arm feels like it’s about to burst open.”
According to an emergency court filing submitted by Pike’s attorneys, officials administered two syringes of pentobarbital, but Pike continued to have a heartbeat and was snoring after receiving the drugs.
One witness described the sound as though Pike was “almost choking.”
“She was clearly still alive. She was clearly still breathing,” the witness said.
The curtains separating the execution chamber from the viewing area were reportedly lowered twice as officials attempted to carry out the execution.
The procedure was ultimately unsuccessful, and Tennessee officials were unable to complete Pike’s execution.
Pike was sentenced to death in 1996 for the murder of Slemmer, who was 19 at the time of her death. Pike was 18 when the killing occurred.
The failed execution is expected to prompt further legal proceedings over the circumstances surrounding the attempted administration of the lethal drugs and what happens next in Pike’s case.
