DAMILOLA ADEGBITE: YOUNGER MEN NOW FIND OLDER WOMEN MORE ATTRACTIVE

Nollywood actress, Damilola Adegbite, has observed a growing trend in Nigeria’s dating scene, where younger men are increasingly showing interest in older women.
The 41-year-old actress made the observation while speaking on a recent episode of her podcast, shared on her YouTube channel.
Adegbite noted that society had previously pressured women to leave the dating scene once they reached a certain age, while younger women were perceived to receive more attention from men.
According to her, however, the trend appears to be changing, with older women now attracting the attention of younger men.
Using the biblical analogy of “the stone which the builders rejected” becoming the “chief cornerstone,” Adegbite described older women who were once overlooked as the new “premium packages.”
She said younger men now approach women in their late 30s and 40s with confidence, openly expressing their attraction despite the age difference.
“Honestly, I think Psalm 118:22 was onto something. You know that scripture about the stone which the builders rejected becoming the cornerstone? Maybe we should just say the older woman who was once overlooked has become the premium package,” she said.
Adegbite further explained that she finds the confidence of younger men who approach older women particularly attractive.
She added that a younger man could see a woman aged 38, 40 or 42 and confidently tell her, “I like you,” leaving the woman surprised by his boldness.
The actress suggested that the shift reflects changing attitudes towards age and relationships, particularly in how older women are perceived in the dating market.
