Afrobeat superstar Davido has explained why he conducted a DNA test on his alleged teenage daughter, Aanu Adeleke.
Aanu had earlier taken to social media, requesting a DNA test to confirm whether Davido was her father, claiming she faced bullying at school for not having a father.
In response, Davido revealed that he had already carried out five DNA tests at different medical centers, all of which confirmed that Aanu is not his daughter.
He also threatened legal action against Aanu and her mother, insisting that he had never met the woman before in his life.

The singer’s revelation sparked widespread debate, with many questioning why he would conduct multiple DNA tests if he had never met the mother.
Addressing the criticism, Davido explained on X that his father insisted he take the tests, emphasizing the importance of family bloodlines. “You guys don’t know my father… he’s even the one that forced me to go. Adeleke’s, we don’t play about blood on this side,” he stated.
