D’BANJ DONATES THREE SIENNA BUSES TO SUPPORT OLAJENGBESI’S 2027 BID

Popular Nigerian singer Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, has donated three brand-new Sienna buses to lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi to support his bid to represent the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2027.

The singer handed over the vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Thursday.

Olajengbesi announced the donation in a Facebook post on Friday, describing it as an unexpected gesture and a significant show of support from the music star.

According to the politician, D’Banj had contacted him about two weeks earlier to request the contact details of the person handling his campaign branding.

Olajengbesi said he assumed the request was connected to D’Banj’s CREAM initiative, which supports young creatives, and subsequently provided the requested contact.

He said he was later surprised when he received three fully branded Sienna buses from the singer.

“It’s my token of support,” Olajengbesi quoted D’Banj as telling him during a conversation after the vehicles were delivered.

Olajengbesi expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of support for his political ambition.

The donation comes amid other public endorsements of Olajengbesi’s bid to represent the constituency.

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, had earlier endorsed his ambition.

Olajengbesi previously served as spokesperson for Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign during the August 15, 2026 governorship election. He is also the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State.

The politician, who turned 40 in August, previously contested the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency seat in 2019.
