Force Public Relations Officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has clarified why social media influencer, Destiny was arrested by the police.

In a post on his X verified handle, Adejobi said “we felt it necessary to drop this clarification here. Destiny was never arrested and detained by Muyiwa Adejobi Force PRO as claimed by SR. He was arrested for posting the above video and many others full of falsehood and disinformation to undermine the security of the country. He posted the video after the police had officially debunked this fake news being spread on social media. The fake policeman, DC, was arrested in Akwa Ibom, almost 2 years ago, not kaduna. The fake news was immediately debunked. Yet, Destiny made several videos on it, and other topical national issues full of lies and misinformation. Sahara Reporters (SR) is known for spreading falsehood to attack the credibility of the police. You may wish to cross-check the handle of the suspect for more details. He is facing trial for his criminal offences contrary to what SR published. Thanks.”
