‘DON’T LET HIM GO’: ONYEKA PLEADS WITH NFF TO KEEP CHELLE

Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka has appealed to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to retain head coach Eric Chelle beyond his current tenure.
Onyeka lauded Chelle’s personality and technical ability, noting that the coach has earned the admiration and trust of many players in the national team.
Chelle’s contract with the NFF is set to expire in January 2027, having taken over midway into a two-year deal with the federation.

Speaking to the media, Onyeka said Chelle’s tactical approach became evident immediately after he assumed leadership of the Super Eagles.
“He’s a good and lovely person, someone you feel comfortable around,” Onyeka said.
“He is very open-minded and gives everyone the opportunity they deserve. A lot of the Super Eagles players love him. Don’t let him go.”
