Over the years, the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show has witnessed several dramatic moments, including the disqualification of housemates for violating the rules guiding their participation in the competition.
From physical confrontations and repeated breaches of house rules to inappropriate conduct and defiance of Big Brother’s instructions, disqualification remains one of the most severe disciplinary measures on the reality show.
Below is a list of housemates who have been disqualified from BBNaija between 2017 and 2026:
Kemen — See Gobe, 2017
Kemen was disqualified during the second season of BBNaija, tagged See Gobe, following an incident involving fellow housemate TBoss while she was asleep. The incident generated widespread discussion and became one of the most controversial moments of the season.
Khloe — Double Wahala, 2018
Khloe was disqualified during the third season, Double Wahala, after receiving three strikes for repeated violations of Big Brother’s rules. Her conduct and confrontational behaviour eventually led to her removal from the competition.
K-Brule — Double Wahala, 2018
K-Brule was also disqualified during the Double Wahala season. He was removed alongside Khloe after accumulating three strikes for rule violations and inappropriate behaviour.
Tacha — Pepper Dem, 2019
Tacha was disqualified from the fourth season, Pepper Dem, following a physical confrontation with fellow housemate Mercy Eke. The altercation involved pushing and hair-pulling, prompting Big Brother to terminate her participation in the competition.
Erica — Lockdown, 2020
Erica was disqualified from the fifth season, Lockdown, after committing a series of rule violations. Her disqualification followed a heated incident during which she used abusive language and engaged in other conduct that breached the house rules.
Beauty Tukura — Level Up, 2022
Beauty Tukura became the first housemate to be disqualified from the seventh season, Level Up. She was removed following repeated violations of Big Brother’s rules after an argument with fellow housemate Groovy escalated.
Faith — Season 10, 2025
Faith was disqualified during the 10th season of BBNaija following a physical altercation with fellow housemate Sultana during a task rehearsal. The incident prompted Big Brother to take disciplinary action against him.
Nomy — Season 11, 2026
Nomy became the latest housemate to be disqualified from the reality show after repeatedly defying Big Brother’s instructions. His removal added another name to the list of contestants who have been forced to leave the competition for violating the rules.
Disqualification has remained a significant part of BBNaija, with housemates regularly reminded that breaches of the rules can attract severe sanctions, including immediate removal from the show.
