GALADIMA: EL-RUFAI ‘PAYING FOR WHAT HE DID TO OTHERS’

A chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Buba Galadima, has said former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai is “paying for what he has done to other people” during his time in office.

Galadima made the remarks while speaking about El-Rufai’s detention during an interview with Symfoni TV.

According to him, the former governor’s detention could be linked to the consequences of some of his past actions, although he said this did not necessarily mean the matter was politically motivated.

“El-Rufai himself is paying for what he has done to other people, I believe so. But that does not mean that the issue that led to his detention is politically motivated. Why did they arrest him?” Galadima said.

He also alleged that the All Progressives Congress, APC, in its bid to retain power, could “do anything under the sun” because its members were aware of the consequences they could face if they lost power.

“The desperation with which the APC is going, they can do anything under the sun to come back to power, because they know what it entails if they lose power; what they have done to people will visit them,” he added.
