GERARD: I DON’T WANT MY BBNAIJA ROMANCE WITH KAMSY TO DEFINE ME

Twenty-three-year-old Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Gerard Adebija, has said he does not want his relationship with fellow housemate Kamsy to define his identity or experience on the reality show.

Gerard made this known during a virtual post-eviction interview attended by *Sunday Scoop*, where he described Kamsy as a great person but admitted that their relationship had begun to overshadow other aspects of his personality and talents.

According to the evicted housemate, the relationship developed quickly partly because of the environment in the Big Brother house, where contestants spend a significant amount of time together.

Gerard explained that he would have preferred to build a friendship with Kamsy before pursuing a romantic relationship, adding that he wanted viewers to recognise him for more than being part of a romantic pairing.

He said the romance was an interesting part of his time in the house but was not his primary reason for participating in the reality show.

Gerard, however, stressed that there was no animosity between him and Kamsy following his eviction. He said they had spoken and remained on good terms despite the attention surrounding their relationship online.

The reality star added that the experience inside the house was different from life outside, noting that they were now back in the real world.

On whether their relationship would continue outside the show, Gerard said the future remained uncertain, explaining that both of them were currently unsure about what would happen.

He said they were presently just friends and that viewers would have to wait and see if anything develops between them in the future.
