KWANKWASO REACTS AS GANDUJE LABELS NDC TICKET ‘DEAD ON ARRIVAL

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) vice-presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has dismissed former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje’s claim that the proposed Peter Obi-Kwankwaso ticket stands no chance in Kano State ahead of the 2027 general election.
Ganduje had on Tuesday described the NDC presidential ticket as “dead on arrival,” arguing that it lacks the political strength and leadership credentials needed to secure victory in Kano.
Responding to the remarks, Kwankwaso said Ganduje had no basis for making such a claim, insisting that the former Kano State governor had already been rejected by the electorate.
Speaking with the press, Kwankwaso recalled that his political camp supported Ganduje’s emergence in 2015 but defeated him in the 2023 elections.
“Ganduje has no reason to make that statement. We supported him in 2015. In 2023 we defeated him, and if he could not do anything when he was governor, what can he do now?” he said.
