NIPSS RESCHEDULES ORANGE ECONOMY SUMMIT TO DECEMBER

The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies has postponed its National Summit and Exhibition on the Orange Economy, earlier scheduled for October, to December 8–10, 2026.
The summit, organised in collaboration with Bruit Costaud Government Affairs Et Al Limited, was initially scheduled to hold from October 6 to 8 at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, formerly the National Theatre, in Lagos.
However, the organisers announced on Wednesday that the event would now take place at the Admiralty Event Centre, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.
They said the rescheduling would provide additional time to strengthen the summit’s programme, broaden stakeholder participation and maximise its expected impact and outcomes.
The summit is expected to bring together policymakers, investors, creative and cultural industry leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, development partners and other stakeholders to discuss opportunities and challenges within Nigeria’s Orange Economy.
The Orange Economy refers to economic activities driven by creativity, culture and intellectual property, covering sectors such as film, music, fashion, publishing, advertising, design, visual arts, entertainment and other cultural industries.
The sector has become part of Nigeria’s broader economic diversification efforts, with attention focused on its potential contributions to employment, investment, innovation and national output.
According to the organisers, the summit will provide a platform for stakeholders to examine how Nigeria’s creative and cultural industries can contribute further to economic diversification, job creation, innovation, investment and sustainable development.
The organisers also acknowledged the support of partners, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, media organisations and registered participants, while apologising for any inconvenience caused by the change in schedule and venue.
The National Summit and Exhibition on the Orange Economy will now hold from December 8 to 10, 2026, at the Admiralty Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
