POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT OVER ALLEGED SEXUAL MOLESTATION OF 17-YEAR-OLD BOY

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has ordered an immediate manhunt for a man identified as Kola following an allegation of sexual molestation involving a 17-year-old boy.
The incident was reported at the Adigbe Police Division on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at about 5pm.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday.

According to Babaseyi, the teenager, who was accompanied by his parents, alleged that Kola sexually assaulted him three times in January 2026 and subsequently threatened him to prevent him from speaking about the incidents.
“Following the report, he was taken to a hospital within the Adigbe axis for medical examination, while detectives commenced investigation,” Babaseyi said.
The police spokesperson noted that the allegation was brought to the attention of the command only after the report was formally made on September 8.
The suspect is currently at large, prompting the Commissioner of Police to direct detectives to intensify efforts to trace and arrest him.
The command said the case was being handled with urgency and sensitivity, assuring the public that a professional investigation was underway.
The police also reaffirmed their commitment to protecting children and other vulnerable members of society while ensuring that allegations of abuse are thoroughly investigated.
