POLICE RAISE ALARM OVER ILLICIT DRUGS PACKAGED TO ATTRACT CHILDREN(VIDEO)

Inspector Peter Emmanuel explained how dangerous drugs are increasingly being packaged to appeal to and target children.
“Colos is a laboratory-produced synthetic drug. Even if it’s smoked in places like churches, you may not notice the smell.”
Drug dealers package substances in wrappers with cartoon characters and names such as Ghana Gold and Loud, making them difficult to identify.
Some traffickers reportedly use children as young as two or three years old to sell drugs, believing law enforcement is less likely to suspect them.
Parents were advised to watch for sudden behavioral changes in their children, visit them unexpectedly, and remain actively involved in their lives.
He stressed that easy access to drugs remains a major challenge and urged parents to keep their children away from places where such substances are sold. The message was delivered as part of the Police Community Safety Advocacy (POCOSAAD) initiative, promoting community vigilance and child protection.
