Premier Standard Industrial Limited has hosted the fourth edition of its annual Customer Appreciation Awards, bringing together top customers from across Nigeria for a strategic engagement aimed at strengthening long-term partnerships and promoting sustainable business practices.

‎The event, which took place at the Ogere Resort and Conference Centre in Ogun State, featured selected top-performing customers of the company and formed part of activities commemorating Premier Standard’s 40th anniversary.

‎Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Premier Standard Industrial Limited, Mr. Gbolahan Adenuga, described the Customer Appreciation Awards as a deliberate platform to recognise loyalty, exchange ideas and deepen collaboration with customers nationwide.

‎According to Adenuga, the fourth edition maintained the tradition of combining recognition with knowledge-sharing, noting that the gathering allowed customers to reflect on evolving global business realities and how to remain competitive.

‎“This year’s engagement was interactive, insightful and entertaining. Beyond celebrating our customers, the goal is to ensure everyone leaves with practical lessons that support business sustainability and long-term growth,” he said.

Mr Adenuga, noted that the 2025 edition of the event focused on legacy, resilience and adaptation to change, particularly in the face of global economic shifts and technological advancement. He emphasised that Premier Standard remains committed to improving service delivery, maintaining steady product supply and aligning operations with global best practices.

‎Meanwhile, Chairman of Premier Standard Industrial Limited, Otunba Adenuga, in his opening remarks, underscored the central role of customers in any successful business, describing them as the most critical of all partnerships.

He stressed that the company’s decision to extend the duration of the customer engagement was to allow customers sufficient time to relax, interact and share feedback in a conducive environment.

‎“Our customers are our top priority. This event is about appreciating their loyalty, listening to them and ensuring that growth remains a win-win for customers, suppliers and the company,” the chairman said.

‎He further called for continuous improvement in customer relations, collaboration and service delivery, urging stakeholders to embrace change and innovation to ensure mutual success.

Also, the African Regional Representative for Alltech Coppens, Mr. Cees Jan Van Der Leek, commended the loyalty and commitment of Premier Standard’s customers, noting that many participants had attended all four editions of the appreciation programme.

‎Van Der Leek described the sustained participation as a testament to strong relationships built on trust, shared values and human connection. He emphasised that adaptability, flexibility and collaboration were essential in navigating global changes, stressing that success in business is driven by people working together.

‎He also praised Premier Standard’s staff for their dedication and long years of service, noting that strong internal loyalty reflected positively on customer relationships. According to him, customer feedback and interaction played a key role in strengthening the partnership between Premier Standard and its technical partners.

‎Highlighting Premier Standard’s 40th anniversary, Van Der Leek described the milestone as a reflection of vision, consistency and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances while remaining true to the company’s core values and identity.

‎He further reaffirmed Alltech Coppens’ strong connection to Nigeria, describing the country as one of its most important export markets. He said the annual participation of Coppens representatives at the event was aimed at showcasing the company’s commitment to Nigeria, sharing expertise in aquaculture nutrition, trials and quality standards, and exposing stakeholders to different aspects of Coppens’ operations. He expressed optimism about participating in Customer Appreciation Day 5.0.

The event also featured two keynotes presentation by Mr Yinka Leke Adegbuyi, who spoke on Essence of Improving Service, and a business strategist, Dr. Dare, who spoke on leadership, legacy and sustainability.

Mr Dare in his presentation highlighted the importance of building strong systems, structures and values that allow businesses to outlive their founders while remaining resilient in the face of economic, political and operational risks.

‎He described legacy as the deliberate creation of systems and processes that ensure continuity, sustainability and impact beyond individual leadership, stressing that profitable businesses must also be purpose-driven.

However, Mr. Yinka Leke Adegbuyi in his lecture titled “Customer: Essence of Improving Service,” emphasised that happy customers naturally become brand ambassadors. He urged business owners to consistently go the extra mile, encourage kindness in customer engagement and resolve issues proactively.
