SANWO-OLU CONGRATULATES MUSLIMS, PREACHES PEACE ON EID-EL-KABIR MESSAGE

Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Muslims in Lagos State and across Nigeria on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to embrace the values of sacrifice, peace, and unity.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor said the festival serves as a reminder of faith, patience, and communal harmony.

Sanwo-Olu noted that Eid-el-Kabir carries deep spiritual meaning, highlighting the devotion and perseverance of Prophet Ibrahim as its central lesson.

He said the occasion underscores the rewards of steadfast faith and patience during difficult times, as well as the importance of continuous prayers and belief.

The governor also stressed that the spirit of sacrifice should extend beyond religious observance to national development and collective progress.

Sanwo-Olu further urged Nigerians to promote unity and avoid actions capable of undermining peace and national stability.

He appealed to citizens to draw inspiration from Prophet Ibrahim’s example in fostering cohesion and strengthening the country.

The governor also encouraged support for the federal government’s development agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that nation-building requires collective effort from all citizens.
