SUSPECTED TERRORISTS ABDUCT RESIDENT, BURN NSCDC OUTPOST IN KEBBI ATTACK

Suspected terrorists have abducted a resident, identified as Yusuf Bazamfare, and set fire to a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) outpost, a brothel, and a residential building during an attack in Kebbi State.
The assault occurred on Saturday night in Tsamiya community, Bagudo Local Government Area of the state.
The incident was confirmed on Sunday in a statement by the spokesperson of the Kebbi State Police Command, SP Bashir Usman.

According to the statement, the attackers stormed the area, fired sporadically, and torched a makeshift NSCDC checkpoint, a local brothel, and the home of one Sule Mai Goge. One Alhaji Yusuf Bazamfare was also taken away during the raid.
Following the attack, the Commissioner of Police ordered the immediate deployment of additional security personnel to the community to strengthen security and protect residents and property.
The command further stated that efforts were underway to rescue the abducted victim and apprehend those responsible.
Police, in collaboration with other security agencies, have since launched investigations and intensified operations aimed at tracking down the perpetrators and securing the victim’s release.
Residents have been urged to remain calm and continue providing useful information to security agencies to support ongoing security operations in the area.
