TINUBU CELEBRATES KUMUYI AT 85, PRAISES GLOBAL IMPACT

President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to the founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Kumuyi as an exceptional servant of God whose steadfast faith and commitment have guided one of Nigeria’s most influential Christian ministries for more than 50 years.
Tinubu commended the cleric’s far-reaching impact on millions of believers in Nigeria and beyond, noting that his ministry, teachings and publications have inspired people across different nations and generations.
“As the convener of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, your voice has transcended church walls and national boundaries, bringing hope, encouragement and spiritual renewal to millions around the world,” the President said.

He added that Kumuyi’s writings have continued to enlighten minds, inspire hearts and provide enduring guidance to individuals seeking truth, purpose and direction.
The President further acknowledged the transformative effect of Kumuyi’s ministry on families, leaders and Christian communities, saying his influence has strengthened the faith of generations and positively shaped countless lives.
“Your ministry and influence have transformed lives, restored families, inspired leaders and strengthened the faith of generations of believers,” Tinubu stated.
He also prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the renowned preacher, wishing him strength, good health, peace and abundant grace in the years ahead.
Born on June 6, 1941, in Erin-Ijesha, Osun State, Kumuyi established the Deeper Life Bible Church in 1973 as a campus fellowship at the University of Lagos, where he worked as a mathematics lecturer.
Over the decades, the ministry has expanded into one of Africa’s largest Pentecostal denominations, with a presence in more than 150 countries worldwide.
Widely respected for his doctrinal teachings, evangelistic passion and disciplined lifestyle, Kumuyi remains a prominent and influential figure in African Christianity.
